Hand-Woven
These samples are hand-woven with the use of a frame loom. These are the plain, twill and satin weaves. I've also explored the derivatives of the weaves mentioned above. After working on the basic weaves, I have tried to recreate fabrics to obtain a weave structure very similar to the fabric swatch and also tried weaving with unconventional materials to understand the art of weaving deeper.

Derivatives of plain weave
(warp rib, weft rib, plain weave and basket weave)

Satin and Sateen weave

Derivatives of twill weave
(Warp faced, weft faced, vertical herringbone, balanced right hand twill, balanced left hand twill, broken twill and vertical wavy.)

Recreating weaves from a fabric sample

I have recreated weaves of the sample fabric using a frame loom by identifying and using the same weaves and yarn count used.

Weaving using unconventional material
I have used a range of unconventional materials and weaved them using the derivatives of plain, twill and satin weaves. I have taken Greek goddesses as my theme and I have tried to incorporate elements from the pictures into the weaves.
